The 1% Rule is a simple yet brilliant idea that Tommy Baker presents in his book ‘The 1% Rule’ – if you can consistently and persistently be 1% better today than yesterday, you will start to see significant progress.

 

This all sounds fair, but how do you motivate yourself every day to be better by 1%? Tommy has 5 principles that make up the 1% Code, a set of values and virtues to ground and guide you when the going gets tough.

 

1. Fall in love with the process

If you enjoy what you’re doing, you’ll find it easier to put more time into it.

 

 

2. Do it every single day

Sometimes getting started can be the most difficult part. If you build a daily habit to work on something, it becomes automatic and will no longer require willpower.

 

 

3. Celebrate your commitment

Share your progress with family and friends. Share your skin positivity story through social media.

 

 

4. Track your metrics and data

Being able to track your progress and see how far you’ve come is a strong motivating factor.

 

 

5. Master your craft

The better you become at something, the more you enjoy doing it.
